Academy Graduate TestimonialsEmbodiment: the representation or expression of something in a tangible or visible form.
Most therapists haven’t been in consistent therapy before becoming a therapist themselves.
The difference in this work of becoming a Holistic Therapist is being embodied, and feeling the impact of holistic healing.
Facilitation for your clients will come from an embodied understanding through an experiential learning environment.
I'm a big believer that you can only take your clients as far as you have gone. In the Holistic Therapist Academy, you will experience the healing power of this work for yourself.
Jasmine Bowie, Licensed Master Social Worker
For so long I've been searching for a space that would expand my understanding of the body-mind in addition to best practices around integrating ancient wisdom that would support my client's holistic healing. The Holistic Therapist Academy blended theory with practice in such a tangible way has been one of the greatest gifts I received through the academy. The ability to ground the understanding into something that can be implemented to move the needle in the lives of our clients, their families, and the respective communities we serve is priceless. Lenaya is thorough in her teachings. It's clear she not only studied this work but practices it herself. The pace, structure, and supporting materials ensure that you have all the tools you need to fully immerse yourself in the teachings as well as prepare you to facilitate in your respective practice. In full gratitude!

AS SEEN IN...
LeNaya Smith Crawford
Before taking on a holistic approach to my own mental health and healing, I believed my worthiness was tied to what I could do, accomplish, or achieve. I was looking at life through a left-brain, hierarchical perspective, approaching both my personal and professional life through this lens. I was stuck in the traditional identity of what a therapist āshouldā be.
I was depressed, feeling unworthy, out of touch with my body, focused on achieving, disconnected spiritually, and isolated. I was compartmentalizing my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and communal wellness, viewing them as separate parts of myself.Ā
It wasnāt until I began to take a holistic approach in my own healing journey that things started to change.
When I found yoga during a stressful time in my masterās program, it gave me so much joy and relief. I resonated with the power of yoga so much that the same year I graduated with my masterās, I also received my yoga teacher training and trauma-sensitive yoga certifications!
In addition to my yoga practice I began integrating more holistic healing practices into my life like breathwork, sound healing, and affirmations. These healing modalities helped to give me a sense of joy, embodiment, freedom, and peace.Ā
While on this journey of experiencing the power of these ancient healing practices, there was a point where I was conflicted as to whether or not these practices were aligned with the teachings of Yeshuaā¦
You see, spirituality has always been a part of my life. As the daughter of two pastors who was raised in the church, my faith has always been at the core of who I am. I wanted to make sure that the holistic practices I was growing to love werenāt at odds with my faith.
From research and in depth conversations with my parents, I realized this work of holistic healing is aligned with my spiritual beliefs, and ultimately helped me experience a closer relationship with God.
As I integrated my holistic practices and spirituality WITH the tools I had learned from years in the mental health space, it became clear that ALL layers of me were essential components to my healing. I learned that holistic healing isnāt just integrating ancient healing practicesā¦itās integrating ALL of you, including the spiritual.Ā
Once I was able to integrate all layers of myself, not only was I able to experience personal freedom and authenticity, I was also able to create a business that feels aligned with who I am called to be: a multi-passionate, multifaceted healer, business owner, and human being.
The reason why Iām so passionate about holistic mental health is NOT because Iāve trained thousands of therapists or worked with hundreds of clientsā¦
It's because holistic mental health and healing saved me, allowed me to experience transformational healing, and deepened my reverence for Yeshua.
