Why This Training Matters
If you are holding space for people navigating trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, shutdown, or disconnection, understanding the nervous system is essential.
Your clients may intellectually understand their patterns and still struggle to feel safe, present, connected, or regulated. Talk therapy can provide meaningful insight, but insight alone does not always create an embodied sense of safety.
Nervous system-informed care helps us recognize what regulation and dysregulation look like in the therapy room. It also gives us a broader range of tools for supporting clients beyond cognitive understanding.
This training bridges neuroscience, holistic mental health, somatic practice, and ethical clinical integration so you can approach this work with greater confidence, care, and intentionality.
This training will help you:
- Understand holistic mental health as the foundation of nervous system-informed care
- Understand how trauma and stress affect the brain, body, and nervous system
- Recognize signs of regulation and dysregulation in the therapy room
- Understand Polyvagal Theory and the role of the vagus nerve
- Explore yoga, breathwork, sound healing, meditation, and somatic practices as tools for regulation
- Experience simple somatic practices you can use personally and professionally
- Practice facilitating selected nervous system regulation tools
- Learn the four core elements of ethical integration
- Make more informed decisions about which practices may be appropriate for different clients
- Apply scope-of-practice, informed-consent, and culturally responsive considerations
- Explore real-life case studies involving holistic and somatic integration
What You'll Learn

This Is What Embodied Healing Looks Like
“Healing isn’t just about talking. It’s about regulating.”
Nervous system-informed care invites us to pay attention to more than what a client says. It asks us to notice the body, breath, energy, patterns of activation, capacity for connection, and the conditions that support a genuine sense of safety.
When you understand the nervous system, you can begin supporting yourself and your clients in ways that are more embodied, responsive, and holistic.
This training is about moving beyond the mind and learning how the body, breath, sound, movement, relationships, environment, and nervous system influence the healing process.
